This was a lot inspired by Terry Pratchett's A'tuin. I always loved the idea of turtles or whales drifting through space. :) Also my little brother asked me to draw a turtle, so I obliged. I might add a more..poetic description if and when I think of one xD

Background isn't as detailed as I might have wanted it to be, I left it in a painted style. Used some ref for the turtle and nebula-esque space.

Photoshop CS and about 2hours or so.

I love the concept and the air-like effect works amazingly to add the needed depth and wonderment to this piece, and the lighting is perfect ^-^

It really gives off a calm and magical feel to it. The idea of swimming through the stars is such a wonderful one, and I really like the colours you've chosen!

Wow, these are brilliant colors!!! And just your color job in general is beautiful. Its wonderful! And turtles are just cool.
