Tried pushing my tablet a bit...I sketched this all on photoshop, which was... interesting to say the least, and certainly took a while. Im thinking about giving him a body but.. the thought is somewhat daunting.
...
I stretch my wings out one last time
Upon the ember skies
Where burdens deep and heavy lie
From all the years gone by.
Lives have passed, and lives have died
Mountains fall and rise
But dragon hearts will always soar
In blazing ember skies.
Kin have faded all away
One by one they died
I saw their ends, I saw their pain
And heard them how they cried
So now I, too, will fade away
Into the ember skies
With wings of grief upon the winds
I'll sing my last goodbyes.
...
Erm yeah my crap attempt at poetry... ¬__¬ ho hum.
pushing it or not that pic is very well done... ive tried working with a tablet... i couldent do that if i tried... and the poem is not crap... i like it ::cheeky smile::
I was trying to go for the whole sketched on paper look. It's so much easier doing it on photoshop though... Because erasing and doing tiny detail is a LOT easier. Also you can move parts of the image around and such.
Just grab a size 3 brush on a rather large canvas and voila!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
